Brenda Fletcher -  Principal

Leaders

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.  This will be my 6th year at Moore and, as I look back, I see how many things have changed and improved.  As I look forward, I see additional changes that will happen to continuously improve the educational experience here at Moore.

  • We are still welcoming 6th grade and are so excited to have the opportunity to work with families for 3 years, instead of just 2.
  • We are excited to bring SSN3 (Significant Support Needs) back to the building, giving all students a great experience of diverse learning and interaction with students of all abilities.
  • We will continue to invite all of our families and community to monthly Family Dinners so that we can get to know and understand each other.
  • Our teachers will challenge our students with problem-based learning and authentic tasks.
  • The school has partnered with the Colorado Department of Education as well as other schools in JeffCo that struggle with assessment data so that we can find better ways of preparing our students academically.
  • Counselors will now be housed on the second floor, out of the main office, to be closer to the students and avoid any stigma of a student going to the office.
  • There are many new staff to welcome to our family as we expand to 6th grade, SSN, and intentional planning for student needs.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas.  Our goal is to continuously improve the learning experiences for our students.  Please get involved, whether it be on field trips, School Accountability Committee (SAC), Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Early Release activities, etc.

Jason Wisor - Assistant Principal

Wisor

Prior to coming to Moore, I was the Dean of Students and taught Social Studies at Kentwood High School in Covington, WA. I was an assistant football coach and the head fastpitch coach during my time at Kentwood as well. I graduated with my Social Studies degree, a minor in Business Administration, and received my teaching credentials from Washington State University, Go COUGS! I obtained my Master’s Degree from City University of Seattle, and completed my administrative internship with Washington State University.

I am excited to be a part the Moore staff and look forward to building relationships with our staff, students, and community to create positive relationships and to achieve high, school-wide academic goals for life-long learning.

Kathryn Eterno - Assistant Principal

Eterno

I started my career out East, in Fairfax County Public Schools. Over the course of my twelve years in education, I have taught English Language Arts to students in seventh through twelfth grade, and I have worked as an International Baccalaureate Coordinator in the primary and middle years (Kindergarten through tenth grade).

This will be my first year as an assistant principal at Moore, and I could not be more excited to be a Mustang! I look forward to working with staff and the community to create an incredible educational experience for our kids.
